Key Features
- These are detailing tools used on between-centre work, where the grain is running parallel to the bed bars. They are used to create coves, beads and other profiles on goblets, vases and egg cups.
- These tools have a shallow flute grind unlike bowl gouges
- Many turners prefer to turn their tool handles to their own specifications. For those turners we offer here un-handled version of Sorby's standard Spindle Gouge blade. These High Speed Steel (HSS) un-handled blades are identical to the ones found on the handled versions. The blades listed here will also fit the Sorby Sovereign System Handles. A Collet Adapter may be required if used with the Sovereign System. Check your manual for the size collet required if, any.
